"Movies Are All Around Us," poses intriguing questions: Where do movies come from? How do we see them? Are there movies around us right now? Life is filled with important, scientific, and filmthropological questions like these. If you're curious about the answers, pay attention—they're all around you. The 2024 OCFF logo features an eye symbolizing a big screen, with a sans-serif font reflecting the scientific and playful nature of films. The primary color palette includes sky blue, representing the vastness of the film environment. Undiscovered films are symbolized using outlined rectangles, which, as the festival approaches, move in a swirling motion to form a cylinder of films, highlighting the exciting lineup. The maximalist layout style evokes an encyclopedia-like look for program materials, posters, and editorial content.

For the campaign, the OCFF creative team produced multiple bumpers for each category, inspired by small objects commonly found around the Oak Cliff neighborhood, like cars, gum, and shorts. These bumpers reinforce the "Look around you" concept and are also featured in social media posts with integrated animations to capture attention. Merchandise items, such as shirts, bandanas, hats, and beer cans, align with this theme. The idea of a blue sky and flying objects ties everything together, including the program handout. This year, we've gone big an introduced a large-format magazine with unique printing.
 

To expand engagement, OCFF created two AR experiences. Scanning the submission postcard reveals a digital theater with a Call to Action button. Scanning festival beer cans displays a cylinder with floating movies, reinforcing the theme and engaging attendees.
